Terms of Business

A little bit of housekeeping.

None of this is meant to be stuffy. These are simply the few things we are both signing up to when you book in with me, written plainly so we always know where we stand and your appointment can run beautifully.

Booking

The easiest way is my booking page, where you can see what is available and send me a request for the time you would like. Nothing is booked at that stage. Every request comes through to me and I confirm it personally, usually within a day, which is when I will send you the studio address and anything you need to do beforehand.

You are just as welcome to drop me a message through my Contact page, or find me on Facebook or Instagram. And if we already know each other, you will have my mobile number, so a quick text or call is always welcome.

Paying

You pay at the end of your appointment, by card (including contactless, Apple Pay and Google Pay), cash, bank transfer or gift voucher. Card payments are taken securely by Stripe, and I never see or keep your card details.

Deposits

I do not usually ask for a deposit, I would rather keep things easy. The one exception is larger group bookings, like a bridal party, where I may ask for a little something to hold the time. If I do, I will send you a secure link to pay it online. It simply reserves the time set aside for you and comes straight off the cost of your treatment on the day. If I ever have to cancel, I will refund your deposit in full.

Cancellations and No-Shows

Life happens, and I completely understand that plans change. All I ask is that you give me as much notice as you can, so I have the chance to offer the time to someone else.

If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, there is a charge of 50% of the treatment fee.

Cancellations inside 24 hours, on the day, or no-shows, are charged in full.

If you have paid a deposit, that goes towards whatever is due.

Late Arrivals

Running a few minutes behind? Please do not panic, just let me know as soon as you can. I will always do my best to fit in your full treatment, but so that I am not keeping the next client waiting, I may need to trim things a little, and the full fee still applies.

Health, Allergies and Patch Tests

Your wellbeing always comes first. Before we start, do let me know about any medical conditions, allergies or medications, as some can affect your treatment, and please tell me if anything has changed since I last saw you.

A note on waxing. My bikini wax is a tidy of the bikini line only, so just anything that would show outside swimwear or underwear. Knickers stay on, please! I do not offer Brazilian, Hollywood or other intimate waxing.

Lash and tint services need a patch test. If you are booking a lash lift, or a lash or brow tint, for the first time, I will carry out a quick patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment, and it needs repeating every six months thereafter, even if you come to me regularly. It takes moments, and it means we can go ahead knowing your skin is happy with the products. Without an up-to-date patch test I am not able to carry out the treatment, so please do get in touch in good time.

In the Studio

My studio is a dedicated space inside my home here in Godmanchester, rather than a busy high-street salon with a waiting room, so a couple of little things really help. If you could try not to arrive more than five minutes early, that is perfect. I might still be finishing with a lovely client, or sneaking a quick cup of tea with my husband, and I would hate to rush you or not be quite ready to give you my full attention.

I am not normally able to accommodate extra guests, children or pets during your appointment, purely to keep the space calm and safe. That said, if you would like to bring someone along, please just ask in advance and I will always do my best to help.

Your privacy is completely protected while you are with me. The studio door locks from the inside, so once we begin we will not be disturbed, and the window has a privacy screen so we cannot be seen from outside. Whatever treatment you are having, it is just you and me, undisturbed and unseen.

Parking is easy right outside on our quiet street, and if there is room on the driveway, please help yourself.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Your appointment must be booked within those 12 months, but the treatment itself can take place afterwards if that's when the next available appointment falls. Vouchers can be used towards any treatment: if a treatment costs less than the voucher, the balance stays on the voucher (and can be used within the same 12 months); if it costs more, the difference is paid on the day.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Please add your voucher code when you book online, or mention it when you get in touch. The usual cancellation terms above apply to appointments booked with a voucher, and a missed appointment may use up the value of the treatment booked. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Agreement

By booking in with me, you are agreeing to these few terms. Nothing scary, just the bits that keep everything running smoothly. Thank you for taking a moment to read them, and for being so understanding. It is what lets me keep looking after everyone properly.
